Techniques for passive detection of a stock item using a low energy wireless tag and real-time feedback

A non-transitory computer readable medium having stored thereon instructions for causing a processing circuitry to execute a process, the process comprising:

• receiving, during a predefined time window, data packets from a gateway that is transported with a stock item, wherein the received data packets include at least a sensing signal from a plurality of IoT tags;
• identifying, based on the received data packets, a first IoT tag affixed to the stock item from the plurality of IoT tags having a signal strength indicator above a predetermined threshold rank;
• identifying an identification of the stock item associated with the first IoT tag by applying a machine learning algorithm on the received data packets of the identified first IoT tag;
• causing determination of a placement point to place the identified stock item;
• and
• causing initiation of a notification via a notification device, wherein the notification device is located at the determined placement point for the stock item.

A system for passively determining a stock item and placing the stock item using an internet of things (IoT) tag, comprising:

• a processing circuitry;
• and
• a memory, the memory containing instructions that, when executed by the processing circuitry, configure the system to:
• receive, during a predefined time window, data packets from a gateway that is transported with the stock item, wherein the received data packets include at least a sensing signal from a plurality of IoT tags;
• identify, based on the received data packets, a first IoT tag affixed to the stock item from the plurality of IoT tags having a signal strength indicator above a predetermined threshold rank;
• identify an identification of the stock item associated with the first IoT tag by applying a machine learning algorithm on the received data packets of the identified first IoT tag;
• cause determination of a placement point to place the identified stock item;
• and
• cause initiation of a notification via a notification device, wherein the notification device is located at the determined placement point for the stock item.
