Abstract
In a source image to be printed, a boundary condition between a first region including a first colorant and a second region including a second colorant may be identified based on a difference of respective weighted colorant contributions of the first colorant and the second colorant. In response to identifying the boundary condition, additional treatment fluid may be applied.
Claims17
A method comprising:
- identifying, in a source image to be printed, a boundary condition between a first region including a first colorant and a second region including a second colorant based on a difference of respective weighted colorant contributions of the first colorant and the second colorant exceeding a threshold, wherein a weighted colorant contribution is determined based on an amount of a colorant and a resistance of the colorant, the resistance of colorant relating to an amount of colorant bleeding;
- and
- in response to identifying the boundary condition, applying additional treatment fluid.
A printer device, comprising:
- a printing engine to form an image on a print medium using multiple colorants;
- and
- a controller to:
- identify, in a source image to be printed, a boundary condition between a first region including a first colorant and a second region including a second colorant based on a difference of respective weighted colorant contributions of the first colorant and the second colorant exceeding a threshold, wherein a weighted colorant contribution is determined based on an amount of a colorant and a resistance of the colorant, the resistance of colorant relating to an amount of colorant bleeding;
- and
- in response to identifying the boundary condition, apply additional treatment fluid.
A tangible non-transitory machine-readable medium comprising a set of instructions which, when executed by a processor, cause the processor to:
- identify, in a source image to be printed, a boundary condition between a first region including a first colorant and a second region including a second colorant based on a difference of respective weighted colorant contributions of the first colorant and the second colorant exceeding a threshold, wherein a weighted colorant contribution is determined based on an amount of a colorant and a resistance of the colorant, the resistance of colorant relating to an amount of colorant bleeding;
- and
- in response to identifying the boundary condition, apply additional treatment fluid.
