Abstract
A data storage device includes a memory controller and a media controller. The memory controller is configured to provide a request signal related to an operation of a memory device. The media controller is configured to receive the request signal from the memory controller and provide a command to the memory device.
Claims26
A data storage device comprising:
- a memory controller configured to provide a request signal related to an operation of a memory device;
- and
- a media controller configured to receive the request signal from the memory controller, and provide a command to the memory device,
- wherein the media controller compares a tag of a write request packet with a tag of a queued write request packet, and
- wherein the media controller changes an address included in the write request packet based on a value of a guard bit and store data of the write request packet in a changed address of the memory device or drops the write request packet if the tag of the write request packet and the tag of the queued write request packet are the same.
