Front light module and electrophoretic display device

An electrophoretic display device, comprising:

• a front light module, comprising:
• a light guide plate, having a first surface, a second surface opposite to the first surface, and a light incident surface connecting the first surface to the second surface;
• a light source, disposed beside the light incident surface and configured to emit light toward the light incident surface;
• a protective cover plate, disposed on the first surface and having a third surface facing away from the light guide plate and a fourth surface facing the light guide plate;
• an appearance color layer, disposed on one portion of the third surface, wherein the appearance color layer comprises a plurality of stacked sub-ink layers and a transparent layer disposed between the stacked sub-ink layers;
• and
• a functional layer, covering the appearance color layer and the third surface;
• and
• an electrophoretic display panel, disposed below the front light module, wherein the light guide plate is located between the electrophoretic display panel and the protective cover plate.
