A mounting assembly for attaching a tile to a structure is disclosed. The assembly includes an anchor rod having a distal end configured for insertion into an undercut hole formed in the tile and a proximal end configured for insertion into the structure to secure the tile thereto. A nut having a geometry corresponding to an internal cavity of the undercut hole is mountable around the distal end of the anchor rod. The nut is configured to compress for passage through an insertion opening of the undercut hole and to expand within the internal cavity to engage the cavity and prevent withdrawal of the anchor rod. The nut further permits limited movement of the anchor rod within the internal cavity. The internal cavity has a cross-sectional width greater than that of the insertion opening, enabling secure yet adjustable attachment of the tile to the structure.
A mounting assembly for attaching a tile to a structure, comprising:
A nut for attaching a tile to a structure, comprising:
A mounting assembly for attaching a tile to a wall or surface, the assembly comprising an anchor rod configured for insertion into a nut positioned within an undercut hole formed in the tile, the nut being retained within an internal cavity of the undercut hole, wherein insertion of the anchor rod into the nut produces a snap-fit locking engagement between the anchor rod and the nut that prevents withdrawal of the anchor rod and nut from the internal cavity, and wherein the snap-fit locking engagement is achieved without threading and without the use of auxiliary tools.
