Abstract
The present invention provides constructs comprising modified riboswitches to regulate expression of a transgene within a subject. Methods of treating a disease, specifically an eye disease, are also contemplated.
Claims19
A method of reducing at least one symptom of glaucoma in a subject in need thereof, the method comprising administering an exogenous nucleic acid construct to the eye of the subject, the exogenous nucleic acid construct comprising SEQ ID NO:
- 58 or a transgene that regulates prostaglandin 2 alpha synthesis, wherein the transgene that regulates prostaglandin 2 alpha synthesis is selected from the group consisting of SEQ ID NOs:
- 52, 53, and 54.
A method of treating glaucoma in a subject in need thereof, the method comprising administering a viral construct comprising a nucleic acid comprising SEQ ID NO:
- 58 or a transgene that regulates prostaglandin 2 alpha synthesis selected from the group consisting of SEQ ID NOs:
- 52, 53, and 54.
A virus comprising a sequence encoding a vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) inhibitor, wherein the sequence encoding the vascular endothelial growth factor inhibitor is SEQ ID NO:
- 18.
