Liquid compositions containing datem ingredients for preparation of detergent compositions

A liquid composition for preparation of a detergent composition comprising:

• i) Diacetyl tartaric acid of monoglyceride (DATEM) ingredient in an amount of from 20 to 99% by weight, based on the total weight of the liquid composition, wherein the DATEM ingredient comprises DATEM compounds containing DATEM I or DATEM II or both;
• ii) a diluent in an amount of from 1 to 80% by weight, based on the total weight of the liquid composition, wherein said diluent is selected from the group consisting of polar protic solvents and mixtures thereof;
• and
• iii) two or more of the following:
• surfactants, transferases, hydrolytic enzymes, oxido reductases, builders, bleaching agents, bleach activators, bluing agents, fluorescent dyes, caking inhibitors, masking agents, enzyme activators, antioxidants, and solubilizers, wherein:
• a) the liquid composition is homogeneous, meaning that the liquid composition does not separate into a top phase and a bottom phase upon standing at a temperature between 20 °C and 40 °C for 24 hours;
• b) has a viscosity of less than 1000 Pas at 25 °C;
• c) a pH between 0.5 and 4.7;
• and
• d) the DATEM ingredient has an acid value in the range between 80 and 160.
