Abstract
A tire interconnect adapter mechanism for securely coupling two tires (used or new) into a continuous structure in both mechanical terms (either horizontally, vertically or any other suitable angle) as well as in pneumatic/hydraulic terms So that through the successive connection of tires, a water or other suitable fluid tank may be created. In other applications, animal shelters may also be created.
Claims6
A tire interconnect adapter comprising:
- a hollow central body defining a fluid passage and comprising a first annular body portion and a second annular body portion aligned along a central axis;
- wherein the first annular body portion includes a first annular rim having a geometry complementary to a bead of a vehicle tire, the first annular rim configured to engage the bead of the vehicle tire and to form a circumferential fluid-tight seal therewith;
- wherein the second annular body portion includes a second annular rim having a geometry complementary to a bead of a vehicle tire, the second annular rim configured to engage the bead of a vehicle tire and to form a circumferential fluid-tight seal therewith;
- and
- wherein the first annular body portion and the second annular body portion are releasably secured to one another by threaded engagement or mechanical fasteners, such that the fluid passage provides pneumatic and hydraulic communication between tires mounted to the first and second annular rims.
