Abstract
Systems and methods are provided for monitoring a predetermined area for animals. One or more sensors of a vehicle are configured to detect a presence of an object and processing circuitry is configured to detect an object approaching the predetermined area. The processing circuitry is further configured to determine that the detected object is an animal and facilitate activation, in response to determining that the object is approaching the predetermined area and that the object is an animal, a vehicle deterrence feature.
Claims16
A system, comprising:
- a plurality of sensors on a vehicle configured to detect a presence of an object;
- and
- processing circuitry configured to:
- generate a navigational view based on a global positioning system (GPS) location of the vehicle;
- receive a user input selecting a predetermined area from the navigational view wherein the predetermined area does not surround the vehicle;
- receive, from a second vehicle, over a network connection, an indication that a type of animal is approaching the predetermined area;
- and
- in response to determining that the type of animal is dangerous:
- select a recommended vehicle deterrence feature of a plurality of vehicle deterrence features based on the type of animal;
- and
- facilitate activation of the recommended vehicle deterrence feature.
A method, comprising:
- generating a navigational view based on a global positioning system (GPS) location of the vehicle;
- receiving a user input selecting a predetermined area from the navigational view, wherein the predetermined area does not surround the vehicle;
- receiving, from a second vehicle, over a network connection, an indication that a type of animal is approaching the predetermined area;
- and
- in response to determining that the type of animal is dangerous:
- selecting, using the processing circuitry, a recommended vehicle deterrence feature of a plurality of vehicle deterrence features based on the type of animal;
- and
- facilitating, using the processing circuitry, activation of the recommended vehicle deterrence feature.
A system, comprising:
- a plurality of sensors on a vehicle configured to monitor an environment surrounding a vehicle;
- and
- processing circuitry configured to:
- receive data from the plurality of sensors;
- determine a path trajectory of an animal in the environment surrounding the vehicle based on the data;
- determine, based on the data, that the user is outside of a predetermined area;
- in response to determining that the user is outside of the predetermined area, accessing location data for a vehicle access key of the user;
- determine a path trajectory of a user in the environment surrounding the vehicle based on the location data for the vehicle access key;
- determine whether the animal and user are approaching each other based on whether the respective path trajectory of the animal and the user intersect;
- and
- in response to determining that the animal and the user are approaching each other, send a notification of the animal to the vehicle access key of the user.
