Abstract
A pneumatic tire includes a circumferential main groove extending in a tire circumferential direction, a block, which is a land portion defined by the circumferential main groove, a sipe extending through the block in a tire width direction, and chamfered portions provided in the sipe. A total length of lengths of the chamfered portions in the tire width direction is less than 70% of a length of the sipe in the tire width direction.
Claims19
A pneumatic tire, comprising:
- a plurality of circumferential main grooves extending in a tire circumferential direction;
- a plurality of through lug grooves extending in a tire width direction;
- a land portion defined by the circumferential main grooves and the through lug grooves, the land portion being provided between one of the circumferential main grooves and another one of the circumferential main grooves;
- a non-through lug groove provided in the land portion, the non-through lug groove extending in the tire width direction;
- a sipe provided in the land portion, the sipe extending in the tire width direction;
- and
- one or more chamfered portions provided in the sipe,
- the one or more chamfered portions being provided at a portion of the sipe other than at both ends of the sipe,
- the non-through lug groove, the sipe, and the one or more chamfered portions being disposed in a row, and
- a total length of all chamfered portions in the sipe, including the one or more chamfered portions, in the tire width direction being less than 68% of a total length of the sipe in the tire width direction.

A pneumatic tire, comprising:
- a plurality of circumferential main grooves extending in a tire circumferential direction and having a groove width of 3.0 mm or more;
- a plurality of through lug grooves extending in a tire width direction;
- a land portion defined by the circumferential main grooves and the through lug grooves, the land portion being provided between one of the circumferential main grooves and another one of the circumferential main grooves;
- a non-through lug groove provided in the land portion, the non-through lug groove extending in the tire width direction;
- a sipe provided in the land portion, the sipe extending in the tire width direction;
- and
- a chamfered portion provided in the sipe,
- the non-through lug groove, the sipe, and the chamfered portion being disposed in a row,
- a length of the chamfered portion in the tire width direction being 40% or more and less than 70% of an entire length of the sipe in the tire width direction,
- a portion of the sipe being provided without the chamfered portion,
- the chamfered portion of the sipe chamfering both sides of the sipe in the tire circumferential direction at a same width direction position of the sipe, and
- the length of the chamfered portion at each of the both sides of the sipe in the tire width direction being the same.
