Abstract
A printing system including: a scanner configured to scan a pattern on a surface of a three-dimensional object; a selection section configured to select a three-dimensional print medium corresponding to the three-dimensional object in accordance with scan data; and a print section configured to form a pattern on a surface of the selected print medium in accordance with the scan data to replicate the three-dimensional object.
Claims7
A printing system comprising:
- a scanner configured to scan a pattern on a surface of a three-dimensional object to obtain scan data;
- a memory storing stock data indicating a stock quantity for each type of three-dimensional print media which are stocked and each of which has a three-dimensional shape;
- and
- a processor configured to
- select, from the three-dimensional print media, a three-dimensional print medium corresponding to the three-dimensional object based on the scan data and the stock data, and
- form a pattern on a surface of the selected print medium in accordance with the scan data to replicate the three-dimensional object.
A method of forming a pattern, comprising:
- scanning a pattern on a surface of a three-dimensional object to obtain scan data;
- storing stock data indicating a stock quantity for each type of three-dimensional print media which are stocked and each of which has a three-dimensional shape;
- selecting, from the three-dimensional print media, a three-dimensional print medium corresponding to the three-dimensional object based on the scan data and the stock data;
- and
- forming a pattern in accordance with the scan data on a surface of the selected print medium.
A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium storing a program, the program causing a computer to perform processing comprising:
- scanning a pattern on a surface of a three-dimensional object to obtain scan data;
- storing stock data indicating a stock quantity for each type of three-dimensional print media which are stocked and each of which has a three-dimensional shape;
- selecting, from the three-dimensional print media, a three-dimensional print medium corresponding to the three-dimensional object based on the scan data and the stock data;
- and
- forming a pattern in accordance with the scan data on a surface of the selected print medium.
