Abstract
A robot to autonomously act includes a sensor to detect an external stimulus, and at least one processor, wherein the at least one processor causes, in a case where an action trigger that is predetermined is satisfied, the robot to execute an action selected, from a selection candidate list corresponding to the action trigger, at a selection probability dependent on a growth level, the growth level representing a degree of pseudo-growth of the robot, and changes, in a case where the sensor detects the external stimulus during a period from when the robot is caused to execute the action until an elapse of a predetermined time, the selection probability that the action is selected from the selection candidate list.
Claims18
A robot configured to autonomously act, the robot comprising:
- a sensor to detect an external stimulus;
- a memory storing a table including priority data;
- and
- at least one processor,
- wherein:
- the at least one processor:
- causes, in response to a predetermined action trigger being satisfied, the robot to execute a selected action corresponding to the action trigger, the selected action being selected from among actions of a selection candidate list at a selection probability dependent on a growth level, and the growth level representing a degree of pseudo-growth of the robot;
- increases, in response to the sensor detecting the external stimulus of a first classification during a period from when the robot is caused to execute the selected action until an elapse of a predetermined time, the selection probability that the selected action is selected from among the actions of the selection candidate list within a range less than or equal to a predetermined upper limit;
- and
- decreases, in response to increasing the selection probability that the selected action is selected from among the actions of the selection candidate list in accordance with detection of the external stimulus of the first classification, selection probabilities that actions other than the selected action are selected from among the actions of the selection candidate list,
- in the table including the priority data, each of the actions of the selection candidate list is stored in association with a predetermined priority used when the selection probability thereof is decreased, and
- for each of the actions, a decrease value of the selection probability that the action is selected is a predetermined value determined based on the predetermined priority stored in the table in association with the action.
A robot control method for controlling a robot that autonomously acts, the robot comprising a sensor and a memory storing a table including priority data, and the robot control method comprising:
- causing, in response to a predetermined action trigger being satisfied, the robot to execute a selected action selected corresponding to the action trigger, the selected action being selected from among actions of a selection candidate list at a selection probability dependent on a growth level, and the growth level representing a degree of pseudo-growth of the robot;
- increasing, in response to the sensor detecting an external stimulus of a first classification during a period from when the robot is caused to execute the selected action until an elapse of a predetermined time, the selection probability that the selected action is selected from among the actions of the selection candidate list within a range less than or equal to a predetermined upper limit;
- and
- decreasing, in response to increasing the selection probability that the selected action is selected from among the actions of the selection candidate list in accordance with detection of the external stimulus of the first classification, selection probabilities that actions other than the selected action are selected from among the actions of the selection candidate list,
- wherein:
- in the table including the priority data, each of the actions of the selection candidate list is stored in association with a predetermined priority used when the selection probability thereof is decreased, and
- for each of the actions, a decrease value of the selection probability that the action is selected is a predetermined value determined based on the predetermined priority stored in the table in association with the action.
A non-transitory computer-readable recording medium storing a program for controlling a computer of a robot that autonomously acts, the robot comprising a sensor and a memory storing a table including priority data, and the program being executable by the computer to control the robot to execute processing comprising:
- causing, in response to a predetermined action trigger being satisfied, the robot to execute a selected action selected corresponding to the action trigger, the selected action being selected from among actions of a selection candidate list at a selection probability dependent on a growth level, and the growth level representing a degree of pseudo-growth of the robot;
- increasing, in response to the sensor detecting an external stimulus of a first classification during a period from when the robot is caused to execute the selected action until an elapse of a predetermined time, the selection probability that the selected action is selected from among the actions of the selection candidate list within a range less than or equal to a predetermined upper limit;
- and
- decreasing, in response to increasing the selection probability that the selected action is selected from among the actions of the selection candidate list in accordance with detection of the external stimulus of the first classification, selection probabilities that actions other than the selected action are selected from among the actions of the selection candidate list,
