Indoor unit for air conditioner

An air conditioner comprising:

• a cabinet assembly defining an external appearance of the air conditioner and having an air suction port formed therein;
• a filter assembly disposed at the air suction port to remove a foreign substance from air;
• and
• a filter cleaning assembly configured to remove the foreign substance from the filter assembly,
• wherein the filter cleaning assembly comprises:
• a filter cleaner configured to remove the foreign substance from the filter assembly;
• a movement guider configured to guide movement of the filter cleaner;
• and
• a power supply device configured to supply power to the filter cleaner,
• wherein while the filter cleaner is positioned outside the cabinet assembly, the filter cleaner removes the foreign substance from one surface of the filter assembly while moving along the movement guider,
• wherein the filter cleaner comprises:
• a housing defining an exterior appearance of the filter cleaner;
• a connection housing disposed in the housing and having a dust container receiving part formed therein;
• an agitator rotatably mounted on the housing;
• a dust container containing foreign substances removed from the filter assembly;
• and
• a suction fan configured to generate a flow of air into the dust container,
• wherein the dust container is mounted into the dust container receiving part through a dust container receiving hole formed in a side surface of the housing,
• wherein the dust container has a curved shape convex in a second direction perpendicular to a first direction in a view of the dust container in the first direction,
• wherein a cross-sectional area size of the dust container gradually increases in a direction from an insert start portion, which is a first portion to be received through the dust container receiving hole when the dust container is inserted into the filter cleaner, to an insert end portion, which is a last portion to be received through the dust container receiving hole when the dust container is inserted into the filter cleaner.
