Abstract
The present disclosure relates to a composition containing Lactobacillus sakei or extracellular vesicles derived therefrom. The present disclosure also relates to a novel Lactobacillus sakei LBML6 strain. The Lactobacillus sakei according to the present disclosure is a strain which has inhibitory activity against TNFα and IgG in blood and in which the proportion of tolDC cells and Treg cells is increased, and can be used for various applications such as the prevention, alleviation and/or treatment of autoimmune disease in human or animals as well as intestinal regulation.
Claims7
A method for alleviating or treating an autoimmune disease in a subject in need thereof, comprising administering a therapeutically effective amount of:
- Lactobacillus sakei, a culture, lysate, extract or fermentation product thereof;
- or extracellular vesicles derived from the Lactobacillus sakei, to the subject,
- wherein the Lactobacillus sakei is a Lactobacillus sakei LBML6 strain deposited with the accession number KCCM13011P, and
- wherein the administration of the Lactobacillus sakei, the culture, lysate, extract or fermentation product thereof;
- or the extracellular vesicles derived from the Lactobacillus sakei reduces immune response in the subject.
A method for preparing a composition for alleviating or treating an autoimmune disease, comprising:
- (a) a step of preparing a Lactobacillus sakei strain;
- and
- (b) a step of culturing the strain in a culture medium, wherein the Lactobacillus sakei is a Lactobacillus sakei LBML6 strain deposited with the accession number KCCM13011P.
