Abstract
Systems, methods, and devices are described for providing a fluid control for an inflation system. The control directs fluid flow from an inlet to one or more outlets of the control. The outlets are independently connected in fluid communication with the inlet. The control allows a user to create a fluid path between the inlet and a selected outlet by positioning the control in an orientation corresponding to the desired outlet. Each outlet is independently connected in fluid communication with the inlet in various orientations of the control.
Claims14
A method of adjusting an orthopedic support system, comprising:
- providing an orthopedic support system having a valve, the valve comprising:
- an inlet port;
- a plurality of outlet ports;
- an internal fluid flow control comprising a rotatable dial comprising a rotatable body coupled to the dial and positionable in a first orientation and a second orientation, the rotatable body comprising a plurality of clips extending therefrom;
- and
- an outer bore comprising a plurality of protrusions configured to interact with the plurality of clips to provide a tactile indication when the rotatable body is positioned in any of the first orientation and the second orientation;
- and
- positioning the internal fluid flow control in the first orientation, thereby creating a first fluid path passing through a center of the internal fluid flow control between the inlet port and a first of the outlet ports;
- and
- positioning the internal fluid flow control in the second orientation, thereby creating a second fluid path passing through center of the internal fluid flow control between the inlet port and a second of the outlet ports.
