Electrosurgical device and method of use

An electrosurgical device, comprising:

• a housing having a proximal end and a distal end;
• an electrosurgical electrode extending in a distal direction from the distal end of the housing;
• a plurality of light sources in the housing, wherein the plurality of light sources are configured to generate light;
• and an optical lens assembly having a proximal end and a distal end, wherein the optical lens assembly comprises a plurality of optical components that are (i) coupled to each other at the distal end of the optical lens assembly and (ii) separated from each other at the proximal end of the optical lens assembly, wherein each optical component is optically coupled to a respective light source of the plurality of light sources, and wherein each optical component comprises:
• a proximal reflector surface extending distally from the respective light source that is optically coupled to the optical component, wherein the proximal reflector surface is configured to reflect light emitted by the respective light source toward the distal end, wherein the proximal reflective surface has an aspheric shape that is configured to substantially collimate the light reflected by the proximal reflector surface, and a distal transmission surface at the distal end of the optical lens assembly, wherein the distal transmission surface is configured to output the light from the optical component in the distal direction, wherein, at the proximal end of the optical lens assembly, each optical component defines an cavity in which the respective light source is located such that the plurality of light sources are distal of a proximal-most surface of the optical lens assembly.
