Injection needle with endoscope for regenerative medicine

An injection needle assembly, comprising:

• a needle shaft with a point designed to pierce flesh of a living body, and having fluid passage means therethrough designed for delivery of a therapeutic injection agent at a delivery site within the body, the delivery site to be reached by piercing, the delivery site being a site of a pathology at which the therapeutic injection agent is to be delivered via the fluid passage, the outer diameter of the needle shaft being no more than about 2.1 mm;
• and
• illumination emitter means and solid state imaging sensor means designed to provide illumination and imaging, and arranged for illuminating and viewing the delivery site reached by piercing;
• one or more reservoir means for the therapeutic injection agent and controls designed to administer the therapeutic injection agent without fluid tubes flowing externally to the injection needle assembly;
• one or more reservoirs means for inflation gas and controls designed to administer the inflation gas;
• and the needle shaft having a fluid passage through which inflation gas passes at a pressure designed to expand a space around the delivery site and to dry the delivery site;
• wireless transmission means for transmitting video signal from the imaging sensor means to a display monitor without transmission wires connected to the injection needle assembly;
• the injection needle assembly designed with all component parts either disposable or configured to be readily sterilized between uses.

An injection needle assembly, comprising:

• a needle shaft with a point designed to pierce flesh of a living body, and having a fluid passage therethrough designed for delivery of a therapeutic injection agent at a delivery site within the body, the delivery site to be reached by piercing, the delivery site being a site of a pathology at which the therapeutic injection agent is to be delivered via the fluid passage, the outer diameter of the needle shaft being no more than about 2.1 mm;
• an illumination emitter and an imaging sensor designed to provide illumination and imaging, and arranged for illuminating and viewing the delivery site reached by piercing;
• the needle shaft having a passage through which pressurized inflation gas passes at a pressure designed to expand a space around the delivery site and to dry the injection site;
• one or more reservoirs for storing the therapeutic injection agent and a controller designed to administer the therapeutic injection agent to the delivery site without for the therapeutic injection agent located externally to the injection needle assembly;
• one or more reservoirs for storing the inflation gas and controls designed to administer the inflation gas;
• and
• wireless transmission circuitry designed to transmit video signal from the imaging sensor to a display monitor without transmission wires connected to the injection needle assembly;
• the injection needle assembly designed with all component parts either disposable or configured to be readily sterilized between uses.
