Frozen confection machines and apparatus for mixing with heat transfer

A frozen fluid mixing and dispensing apparatus comprising;

• a flexible-walled package enclosing a cavity for receiving an associated liquid, the package including at least one inlet configured to receive the associated liquid and at least one outlet communicating with the cavity and configured to dispense an associated frozen slurry therethrough;
• an assembly for mixing the associated liquid that includes a heat exchanger including at least one cold plate operatively engaging an external surface of the flexible-walled package for heat transfer with the associated liquid in the package cavity and a fluid movement structure for moving the associated liquid in the flexible-walled package;
• further comprising a thermally insulated, sealed container dimensioned to receive the flexible-walled package and the heat exchanger therein that limits frosting that can occur;
• and
• a frost collector in the sealed container wherein the frost collector is cooled to collect moisture.
