Abstract
Examples of the disclosure relate to an apparatus comprising means for: receiving a plurality of input values comprising physical parameters of, at least part of, a cooling system; using the received input values to estimate dimensionless ratios providing a measure of at least one of; heat transfer within at least part of a cooling system, pressure loss within at least part of a cooling system; using the dimensionless ratios to determine at least one performance metric of at least part of a cooling system; and using at least one determined performance metric to control one or more physical parameters of at least part of a cooling system.
Claims11
An apparatus comprising means for:
- receiving a plurality of input values comprising physical parameters of, at least part of, a cooling system;
- using the received input values to estimate dimensionless ratios providing a measure of at least one of;
- heat transfer within the at least part of a cooling system, pressure loss with the at least part of a cooling system;
- using the dimensionless ratios to determine at least one performance metric of the at least part of a cooling system;
- using the at least one determined performance metric to control one or more physical parameters of the at least part of a cooling system;
- and
- wherein the at least one determined performance metric is used to modify the one or more physical parameters during design of the at least part of a cooling system.
A method comprising:
- receiving a plurality of input values comprising physical parameters of at least part of a cooling system;
- using the received input values to estimate dimensionless ratios providing a measure of at least one of;
- heat transfer within the cooling system, pressure loss with the cooling system;
- using the dimensionless ratios to determine at least one performance metric of the at least part of a cooling system;
- using the at least one determined performance metric to control one or more physical parameters of the at least part of a cooling system;
- and
- using the at least one determined performance metric to modify the one or more physical parameters during design of the at least part of a cooling system.
A computer program comprising computer program instructions that, when executed by processing circuitry, cause:
- receiving a plurality of input values comprising physical parameters of at least part of a cooling system;
- using the received input values to estimate dimensionless ratios providing a measure of at least one of;
- heat transfer within the at least part of a cooling system, pressure loss with the at least part of a cooling system;
- using the dimensionless ratios to determine at least one performance metric of the at least part of a cooling system;
- using the at least one determined performance metric to control one or more physical parameters of the at least part of a cooling system;
- and
- using the at least one determined performance metric to modify the one or more physical parameters during design of the at least part of a cooling system.
