Abstract
A cooking system includes a set-down plate for setting down cookware, and a detection unit designed to detect the cookware. The detection unit includes a radiation source for emitting electromagnetic radiation and a radiation detector for receiving electromagnetic radiation. A first radiation guiding element transmits the electromagnetic radiation from the radiation source to a set-down region of the set-down plate, and a second radiation guiding element transmits electromagnetic radiation reflected from the cookware to the radiation detector.

A cooking system, comprising:
- a set-down plate for setting down cookware;
- a detection unit designed to detect the cookware, said detection unit including a radiation source for emitting electromagnetic radiation and a radiation detector for receiving electromagnetic radiation;
- a first radiation guiding element designed to transmit the electromagnetic radiation from the radiation source to a set-down region of the set-down plate;
- a second radiation guiding element designed to transmit electromagnetic radiation reflected from the cookware to the radiation detector;
- and
- an optical filter arranged upstream of the radiation detector,
- wherein the optical filter is integrated in the second radiation guiding element.
