User equipment, base station, and communication method

A base station, comprising:

• transmission circuitry configured to transmit, to a user equipment (UE), system information including a first radio resource control (RRC) parameter, wherein the first RRC parameter provides one or more physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) resources, and to transmit a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) with a downlink control information (DCI) format scheduling a physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH);
• and
• reception circuitry configured to receive, from the UE, on a PUCCH resource included in the one or more PUCCH resources, a PUCCH with hybrid automatic repeat request-acknowledgement (HARQ-ACK) information in response to the PDSCH received, wherein
• whether or not to receive the PUCCH using intra-slot frequency hopping is determined based on whether the system information includes a second RRC parameter, the second RRC parameter being an indication of whether intra-slot frequency hopping is used or not for the PUCCH reception,
• in response to the second RRC parameter being present in the system information, the reception circuitry is configured to receive the PUCCH without using intra-slot frequency hopping, and
• in response to the second RRC parameter being absent in the system information, the reception circuitry is configured to receive the PUCCH using intra-slot frequency hopping.

A communication method performed by a user equipment (UE), the communication method comprising:

• receiving, from a base station, system information including a first radio resource control (RRC) parameter, wherein the first RRC parameter provides one or more physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) resources;
• and
• receiving a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) with a downlink control information (DCI) format scheduling a physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH);
• and
• transmitting, on a PUCCH resource included in the one or more PUCCH resources, a PUCCH with hybrid automatic repeat request-acknowledgement (HARQ-ACK) information in response to the PDSCH received, wherein
• whether or not to transmit the PUCCH using intra-slot frequency hopping is determined based on whether the system information includes a second RRC parameter, the second RRC parameter being an indication of whether intra-slot frequency hopping is used or not for the PUCCH transmission,
• the PUCCH is transmitted without using intra-slot frequency hopping, in response to the second RRC parameter being present in the system information, and
• the PUCCH is transmitted using intra-slot frequency hopping, in response to the second RRC parameter being absent in the system information.
