Uplink data transmission for random access of reduced capability device

A wireless device comprising:

• one or more processors;
• and
• memory storing instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the wireless device, having reduced processing capabilities, to:
• receive at least one system information block (SIB) indicating:
• common random access resources for:
• first wireless devices with the reduced processing capabilities;
• and
• second wireless devices without the reduced processing capabilities;
• a demodulation reference signal (DMRS) configuration;
• one or more repetition values for PUSCH repetition;
• and
• one or more beta offset values for multiplexing one or more uplink control information (UCIs) in a PUSCH transmission, wherein:
• the first wireless devices are associated with a first beta offset value, of the one or more beta offset values;
• and
• the second wireless devices are not associated with the first beta offset value;
• transmit a preamble using the common random access resources;
• receive a response, to the preamble, indicating:
• a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) resource;
• a first DMRS resource for a PUSCH transmission of the first wireless devices;
• and
• a second DMRS resource for a PUSCH transmission of the second wireless devices;
• select, based on the common random access resources and based on the wireless device having the reduced processing capabilities, the first DMRS resource from the first DMRS resource and the second DMRS resource;
• and
• transmit uplink data via the PUSCH resource based on:
• the selected first DMRS resource;
• the DMRS configuration;
• the one or more repetition values;
• and
• the first beta offset value.

A non-transitory computer-readable medium comprising instructions that, when executed by one or more processors of a wireless device having reduced processing capabilities, cause the wireless device to:

• receive at least one system information block (SIB) indicating:
• common random access resources for:
• first wireless devices with the reduced processing capabilities;
• and
• second wireless devices without the reduced processing capabilities;
• a demodulation reference signal (DMRS) configuration;
• one or more repetition values for PUSCH repetition;
• and
• one or more beta offset values for multiplexing one or more uplink control information (UCI) in a PUSCH transmission, wherein:
• the first wireless devices are associated with a first beta offset value, of the one or more beta offset values;
• and
• the second wireless devices are not associated with the first beta offset value;
• transmit a preamble using the common random access resources;
• receive a response, to the preamble, indicating:
• a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) resource;
• a first DMRS resource for the first wireless devices;
• and
• a second DMRS resource for the second wireless devices;
• select, based on the common random access resources and based on the wireless device having the reduced processing capabilities, the first DMRS resource from the first DMRS resource and the second DMRS resource;
• and
• transmit uplink data via the PUSCH resource based on:
• the selected first DMRS resource;
• the DMRS configuration;
• the one or more repetition values;
• and
• the first beta offset value.
