Method for payload encryption of digital voice or data communications

A method for securing software based end-to-end voice encryption, the method, comprising:

• transmitting a request from a first digital computing device to initiate a voice communication session;
• performing a registration in which the first digital computing device establishes a connection with a third digital computing device, followed by an authentication wherein the third digital computing device verifies an identity of the first digital computing device, and subsequently an authorization, by which the third digital computing device determines whether the authentication of the first digital computing device allows to initiate communications for the voice communication session between the first digital device and a second digital computing device via the third digital computing device, wherein each of the first digital computing device, the second first digital computing device, and the third digital computing device have a software program installed;
• generating and distributing cryptographic keying material on a per-session basis, including changing keys during a session, using dynamic sessions and on-the-fly key management exchanges, the keying material being provided automatically as part of a session setup and secure communication without requiring a manual user intervention;
• applying at least one of a symmetric or asymmetric encryption algorithm to voice or data packets using session-specific cryptographic keying material, wherein different encryption algorithms may be selected or applied and session keys may be updated or changed automatically during secure communication, with key coordination being performed by one or more digital computing devices, including the third digital computing device, as part of dynamic, on-the-fly key management;
• and
• communicating encrypted voice data packets while maintaining an end-to-end latency window that enables natural, real-time transmission conversational interaction.
