Abstract
The present disclosure relates to a system for coherent internet network bonding comprising at least one source of data packets, at least one destination for the data packets, and the data packets being routed from the at least one source to the at least one destination via one or more channels/paths simultaneously, wherein the condition of the channels/paths are monitored, and utilised depending on their latency, speed and/or quality.
Claims12
A routing device for coherent internet network bonding, comprising:
- Routing means for routing data packets from at least one source to at least one destination via two or more electronic communication channels and/or paths simultaneously;
- characterized by monitoring means for tracking the condition of the channels and/or paths, and utilizing the channels and/or paths depending on at least one of latency, speed, or quality associated with each channel and/or path;
- wherein the routing device determines optimum channels and/or paths to minimize latency across multiple network hopping points along internet transmission paths according to channel or path quality using routing cost quantity to reflect the quality of the channel and/or path such that,
- weights for the routing cost for a next channel and/or path are dynamically adjusted using latency and performance of previous channels and/or paths from source end-points to destination end-points performed by the routing device.
