Abstract
A method performed by a STA of a WLAN may comprise receiving a trigger frame, from an AP. The trigger frame may be a trigger for uplink MU data transmission and the trigger frame may indicate a traffic priority. In response to receiving the trigger frame, the STA may transmit at least one A-MPDU comprising a plurality of data units. At least one of the plurality of data units may have a priority greater than the indicated traffic priority and another one of the plurality of data units may have a priority equal to the indicated traffic priority.
Claims19
A method performed by a station (STA) of a wireless local area network (WLAN), the method comprising:
- receiving a trigger frame, from an access point (AP), wherein the trigger frame is a trigger for uplink multi-user (MU) data transmission and the trigger frame comprises a first field indicating a first priority, a second field indicating at least one traffic identifier (TID), and a third field indicating a packet duration;
- and
- in response to receiving the trigger frame comprising the first field indicating the first priority, the second field indicating the at least one TID, and the third field indication the packet duration, transmitting based on the indication of the at least one TID, by the STA, an aggregated media access control protocol data unit (A-MPDU) comprising any aggregated data units from a buffer that are associated with the first priority and a priority higher than the first priority.
A station (STA) for operation in a wireless local area network (WLAN), the STA comprising:
- a receiver configured to receive a trigger frame, from an access point (AP), wherein the trigger frame is a trigger for uplink multi-user (MU) data transmission and the trigger frame comprises a first field indicating a first priority, a second field indicating at least one traffic identifier (TID), and a third field indicating a packet duration;
- and
- a transmitter configured to, in response to receipt of the trigger frame comprising the first field indicating the first priority, the second field indicating the at least one TID, and the third field indication the packet duration, transmit, based on the indication of the at least one TID, an aggregated media access control protocol data unit (A-MPDU) comprising any aggregated data units from a buffer that are associated with the first priority and a priority higher than the first priority.
An access point (AP) comprising:
- a transmitter configured to transmit a trigger frame, to a station (STA), wherein the trigger frame is a trigger for uplink multi-user (MU) data transmission and the trigger frame comprises a first field indicating a first priority, a second field indicating at least one traffic identifier (TID), and a third field indicating a packet duration;
- and
- a receiver configured to, in response to transmission of the trigger frame comprising the first field indicating the first priority, the second field indicating the at least one TID, and the third field indication the packet duration, receive based on the indication of the at least one TID, an aggregated media access control protocol data unit (A-MPDU) comprising any aggregated data units from a buffer that are associated with the first priority and a priority higher than the first priority.
