Cloud-based healthcare platform

A cloud-based healthcare platform, comprising:

• a network-connected computing device comprising a memory and a processor;
• a security gateway comprising a first plurality of programming instructions stored in the memory which, when operating on the processor, causes the network-connected computing device to:
• establish a Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA)-compliant health data tunnel comprising encrypted data transmission with a remote computing device;
• direct the remote computing device to send health-related data about a user to the security gateway via the HIPAA-compliant health data tunnel, the health-related data comprising information about a physical activity of the user or a mental activity of the user, or both;
• and
• store the health-related data in a patient database;
• a dual-task functional assessment module comprising a second plurality of programming instructions stored in the memory which, when operating on the processor, causes the network-connected computing device to:
• direct the remote computing device to present a primary physical task and an associative mental activity to the user for concurrent performance;
• receive from the remote computing device physical performance data and associative activity response data captured during concurrent performance of the primary physical task and the associative mental activity;
• and
• store the physical performance data and the associative activity response data in the patient database as dual-task data;
• an AI-assisted healthcare diagnostics module comprising a second plurality of programming instructions stored in the memory which, when operating on the processor, causes the network-connected computing device to:
• retrieve the health-related data and the dual-task data about the user from the patient database;
• process the health-related data and the dual-task data through a machine learning algorithm to diagnose a condition of the user, the condition comprising an aspect of the user's physical function, or the user's mental function, or both.
