Foldable screen support mechanism for gaming machines

An apparatus comprising:

• a cabinet having a base and incorporating a support structure having a first portion and a second portion;
• a main display panel;
• an auxiliary device that is one of a secondary display panel and a topper;
• a first mount connected with, and supported by, the first portion of the support structure;
• and
• a second mount connected with, and supported by, the second portion of the support structure, wherein:
• the base of the cabinet is configured to rest on a horizontal surface,
• the main display panel is attached to, and supported by, the first mount,
• the auxiliary device is attached to the second mount,
• the first mount is rotatably connected with the first portion of the support structure so as to be rotatable about a first axis and between a first rotational position relative to the first portion of the support structure and a second rotational position relative to the first portion of the support structure,
• the second mount is positioned between the second portion of the support structure and at least a portion of the first mount when the first mount is in the first rotational position relative to the first portion of the support structure,
• the first axis is between the base of the cabinet and the auxiliary device when the first mount is in the second rotational position relative to the first portion of the support structure,
• the main display panel is between the first axis and the base of the cabinet when the first mount is in the first rotational position relative to the first portion of the support structure, and
• a maximum height of the apparatus relative to the base of the cabinet is greater when the first mount is in the second rotational position relative to the first portion of the support structure as compared to when the first mount is in the first rotational position relative to the first portion of the support structure.
