Abstract
A user may create an avatar and/or animated sequence illustrating a particular object or living being performing a certain activity, using images of portions of the object or living being extracted from a still image or set of still images of the object or living being.

A method comprising:
- in an electronic device:
- generating an avatar according to images of human body features extracted from one or more still images of a user, at least one other individual, and at least one other object;
- determining a state of the user;
- continually modifying the state of the user according to input from the user;
- and
- adapting the avatar according to the modified state of the user.

- one or more processors comprising motion hardware and rendering hardware;
- one or more displays;
- a non-transitory memory;
- and
- the electronic device is operable to:
- generate an avatar according to images of human body features extracted from one or more still images of a user, at least one other individual, and at least one other object,

- continually modify the state of the user according to input from the user, and
- adapt the avatar according to the modified state of the user.
