Abstract
A medical image processing apparatus according to an embodiment includes processing circuitry. The processing circuitry is configured to generate, from a medical image, a plurality of feature target regions for specifying a target of image segmentation. The processing circuitry is configured to specify a target region indicating the region in which the target is present, on a basis of the plurality of feature target regions. The processing circuitry is configured to perform, in the target region, the image segmentation on the target.
Claims8
A medical image processing apparatus, comprising:
- processing circuitry configured to
- generate, from a medical image, a plurality of feature target regions for determining a target of image segmentation;
- calculate, with respect to each position of a plurality of positions in the medical image, a feature reliability degree using, which indicates a probability that the position in the medical image will belong to the target region, for each of the plurality of feature target regions, based on at least one feature point and a feature target region associated with the at least one feature point;
- determine a target region indicating the region in which the target of image segmentation is present, based on a plurality of the feature reliability degrees calculated from each of the plurality of feature target regions;
- and
- perform, in the target region, the image segmentation on the target.
A medical image processing method, comprising:
- generating, from a medical image, a plurality of feature target regions for determining a target of image segmentation;
- calculating, with respect to each position of a plurality of positions in the medical image, a feature reliability degree, which indicates a probability that the position in the medical image will belong to the target region, for each of using the plurality of feature target regions, based on at least one feature point and a feature target region associated with the at least one feature point;
- determining a target region indicating the region in which the target of image segmentation is present, based on a plurality of the feature reliability degrees calculated from each of the plurality of feature target regions;
- and
- performing, in the target region, the image segmentation on the target.
