Well mender

A well mender, which is a multi-function tool configured for optimizing cleaning and recovery operations within a well bore, and configured for performing run in hole (RIH) and pull out of the hole (POOH), wherein the well mender comprises:

• a diverter cup comprising a rubber element configured to direct fluid flow and to serve as a seal interface between a casing and a tool body;
• a filter sleeve with predetermined hole sizes configured for filtering out debris of specified sizes;
• a valve housing providing a controlled pathway configured for drilling fluid and debris;
• a valve configured for targeted flow control and debris management,
• wherein the valve is positioned below the filter sleeve;
• a shut off ball configured to block fluid flow at desired stages of operation;
• a lower filter sleeve positioned below the filter sleeve and below the valve, the lower filter sleeve being configured for additional debris capture;
• one or more lower diverter channels configured to facilitate controlled flow and direction of fluids and debris,
• wherein all parts of the one or more lower diverter channels are positioned below the filter sleeve;
• an internal lock key configured for securing and stabilizing the well mender within a well bore;
• and
• a rupture disk configured to rupture upon a predetermined differential pressure, providing an emergency pressure release mechanism.
