Process and system for manufacturing a fibreboard from waste materials

A process of manufacturing a construction board from a waste material, wherein the process comprises:

• pulping at least a portion of the waste material and corrugated waste material with water to obtain a waste pulp;
• refining at least a portion of the waste material into microfibrillated cellulose (MFC), using a mechanical micro-fibrillation process, wherein the MFC provides binding for manufacturing the construction board without inclusion of added chemical binding agents;
• dispersing the MFC into the waste pulp to obtain a micro-fibrillated waste pulp;
• moulding the micro-fibrillated waste pulp by applying a moulded vacuum pressure to obtain a moulded construction board, using a continuous moulding process, wherein the continuous moulding process further comprising a first step of applying a first pressure and a second step of applying a second pressure, wherein the second pressure is greater than the first pressure;
• and
• drying the moulded construction board using a multi-stage drying process comprising a plurality of temperature stages to obtain the construction board with a Modulus of Elasticity in a range of 3700 to 3950 megapascals (MPa) and a tensile force in a range of 322.4 to 342 Newton per 20 mm.
