Actuator and on-vehicle device using same

An actuator comprising:

• an input member configured to rotate about a rotation axis by torque of a motor;
• a first output member configured to rotate about a first rotation axis;
• a second output member configured to rotate about a second rotation axis non-parallel to the first rotation axis;
• and
• a power transmission switching unit configured to switch between a state in which the first output member rotates and a state in which the second output member rotates by torque of the input member,
• wherein the power transmission switching unit is configured to
• connect the input member and the first output member to establish a first connection state in a first rotation state in which a rotation angle of the input member is within a predetermined range, and ensure that the first output member rotates forward in line with forward rotation of the input member and the first output member rotates backward in line with backward rotation of the input member,
• connect the input member and the second output member to establish a second connection state in a second rotation state in which the input member rotates forward by an angle exceeding an upper limit of the predetermined range, and ensure that the second output member rotates forward in line with forward rotation of the input member,
• connect the input member and the second output member to establish a third connection state in a third rotation state in which the input member rotates backward by an angle falling below a lower limit of the predetermined range, and ensure that the second output member rotates backward in line with backward rotation of the input member,
• establish the first connection state in which the predetermined range is shifted to a forward rotation side of the input member by an angle from the upper limit of the predetermined range to a rotation angle of the input member in backward rotation when the input member rotates backward in the second connection state, and
• establish the first connection state in which the predetermined range is shifted to a backward rotation side of the input member by an angle from the lower limit of the predetermined range to a rotation angle of the input member in forward rotation when the input member rotates forward in the third connection state.
