Abstract
The invention addresses key challenges in electric transportation by introducing novel solutions for electric vehicles (EVs) and their batteries, Recharge time is reduced to 2-5 minutes through optimized battery design and automated charging systems. Battery performance is enhanced via thermal management using a dedicated hydrogen-based heating and cooling system. Vehicle range is extended by reserving the main battery for propulsion, while cabin climate control is handled separately using a hydrogen heater and a hydrogen-powered compressor for air conditioning. An electric vehicle integrating these features is referred to as an Efficient Electric Vehicle (EEV).

- a main EV battery including a plurality of independent modules each one including an independent module terminal, the said main EV battery configured to supply power to an electric motor, the main EV battery comprising a main battery terminal configured to be used only to supply power to the said electric motor for EV moving, the said EV configured to fast automatically recharge the main EV battery,
- an EV computer having memory configured to store recharge-control software,
- an automatic EV inlet comprising:
- i. an automatic opening/closing cover mechanism, configured to automatically open and close when the EV is entering and leaving the automatic recharging station being controlled by the said computer,
- ii. a plurality of automatic EV inlet moving contacts configured to be attached to the EV by a plurality of elastic elements of the automatic EV inlet moving contacts, the automatic EV inlet moving contacts being protruding outside the automatic EV inlet face in free position and pushed against a plurality of fixed contacts of a charger outlet during the charger outlet and the automatic EV inlet engagement by compressing the elastic elements of the automatic EV inlet moving contacts,
- iii. an electromagnetic clamping mechanism configured to firmly attract an automatic electromagnetic charger outlet configured to be the last arm of a robotic charger of an automatic battery recharge station in this way ensuring strong contact between the automatic EV inlet moving contacts and the plurality of fixed contacts of the charger outlet comprising:
- a plurality of iron plates located on the EV inlet face and solidly attached to the automatic EV inlet configured to be clamped by the electromagnetic charger outlet during the engagement, when a charger outlet electromagnet is ON, realizing a good electric contact between the plurality of the automatic EV inlet moving contacts and the plurality of fixed contacts of the charger outlet by compressing the elastic elements of the automatic EV inlet moving contacts,
- iv. a plurality of targets located on the automatic EV inlet face helping a good fit engagement between the charger outlet and the automatic EV inlet comprising:
- a plurality of video targets configured to be detected by a video camera mounted on the charger outlet,
- a plurality of ultrasonic targets configured to be detected by an ultrasonic probe mounted on the charger outlet,
- v. a plurality of cooling holes,
- vi. an EV inlet exhaust duct configured to collect the cooling air passing through the said cooling holes conducting the cooling air outside of the EV,
- vii. means to elastically attach the automatic EV inlet to the EV,
- a charging/supplying system for fast battery recharge configured to connect the said automatic EV inlet to the independent modules of the main EV battery during the recharge and to connect all independent modules together to the main battery terminal during the supply,
- a liquid-based hydrogen-powered battery temperature control system configured to regulate the temperature of the main battery by controlling the liquid temperature by hydrogen burning, when the EV is in use or parked,
