Abstract
An assembly method for a liquid discharge device includes mounting a cap to a head that has a first surface configured to discharge liquid, the cap covering the first surface; fixing the head to which the cap is mounted to a holding portion; and removing the cap from the head that is fixed to the holding portion. The cap is fixed to the head using a first fixing member that is removable. The head is fixed to the holding portion using a second fixing member. The first fixing member and the second fixing member are provided toward the same side along a thickness direction of the head. The first fixing member is removable in a direction away from the first surface.

- mounting a cap to a head that comprises a first surface configured to discharge liquid, the cap covering the first surface;
- fixing the head to which the cap is mounted to a holding portion;
- and
- removing the cap from the head that is fixed to the holding portion, wherein
- the cap is fixed to the head using a first fixing member that is removable,
- the head is fixed to the holding portion using a second fixing member,
- the first fixing member and the second fixing member are provided toward the same side along a thickness direction of the head, and
- the first fixing member is removable in a direction away from the first surface.
