Parallelized additive manufacturing

A computer program product comprising:

• one or more computer readable storage media;
• and
• program instructions stored on the one or more computer readable storage media to perform operations comprising:
• receiving a three-dimensional digital model file of an object for construction utilizing a plurality of additive manufacturing devices;
• analyzing the three-dimensional digital model file to identify a general shape of the object and a plurality of components of the object, the plurality of components based on an alteration by a user stored in a knowledge corpus, wherein the alteration by the user specifies a number of components for a previous shape of a previous object that is similar to the general shape of the object;
• determining a decomposition of the three-dimensional digital model file into the plurality of components, wherein the decomposition includes multiple interlocking blocks that represent the plurality of components of the object;
• instructing each additive manufacturing device from the plurality of additive manufacturing devices to generate at least one component from the plurality of components of the object, wherein the plurality of additive manufacturing devices operate in parallel to generate the plurality of components of the object;
• and
• constructing the object with the plurality of components of the object generated by the plurality of additive manufacturing devices, wherein each interlocking block from the multiple interlocking blocks includes protruding members and indentations to facilitate engagement between the multiple interlocking blocks to construct the object.

A computer system comprising:

• a processor set:
• one or more computer readable storage media;
• and
• program instructions stored on the one or more computer readable storage media to cause the processor set to perform operations comprising:
• receiving a three-dimensional digital model file of an object for construction utilizing a plurality of additive manufacturing devices;
• analyzing the three-dimensional digital model file to identify a general shape of the object and a plurality of components of the object, the plurality of components based on an alteration by a user stored in a knowledge corpus, wherein the alteration by the user specifies a number of components for a previous shape of a previous object that is similar to the general shape of the object;
• determining a decomposition of the three-dimensional digital model file into the plurality of components, wherein the decomposition includes multiple interlocking blocks that represent the plurality of components of the object;
• instructing each additive manufacturing device from the plurality of additive manufacturing devices to generate at least one component from the plurality of components of the object, wherein the plurality of additive manufacturing devices operate in parallel to generate the plurality of components of the object;
• and
• constructing the object with the plurality of components of the object generated by the plurality of additive manufacturing devices, wherein each interlocking block from the multiple interlocking blocks includes protruding members and indentations to facilitate engagement between the multiple interlocking blocks to construct the object.
