Injection molding machine and control device of injection molding machine

A control device of an injection molding machine, in which the control device allows a temperature measurer to measure a temperature of a cylinder that holds a molding material to be injected into a mold or a temperature of the mold and allows a temperature control mechanism to adjust the temperature of the cylinder or of the mold based on the temperature measured by the temperature measurer, the control device comprising:

• one or more processors;
• and
• a non-transitory storage medium storing instructions thereon, the instructions when executed by the one or more processors causing the one or more processors to:
• store temperature-time data in which the temperature measured by the temperature measurer is associated with time,
• determine whether a predetermined condition for adjusting a cold start prevention period for restricting an operation of a plasticizing member provided in the cylinder so as to be movable and rotatable until a temperature of the molding material or the temperature of the mold rises is established during an operation of the injection molding machine,
• when the predetermined condition is established, determine an actual temperature at a time point that is a predetermined time prior to a point of time at which the predetermined condition is established based on the stored temperature-time data,
• calculate a temperature difference between the determined actual temperature and a current set temperature, and
• set the cold start prevention period to a first period when the calculated temperature difference is equal to or more than a predetermined temperature value, and set the cold start prevention period to a second period when the calculated temperature difference is less than the predetermined temperature value,
• wherein, in a case where temperature information at the time point is absent in the stored temperature-time data due to a blank period in which no temperature information is present between a time at which power of the injection molding machine is turned off and a time at which the power of the injection molding machine is turned on, determining the actual temperature includes calculating, as the actual temperature at the time point, a temperature during the blank period by interpolating a temperature in the blank period.
