Systems and methods for multi-sectional show robot

A robotic system, comprising:

• a primary robot comprising a first aesthetic corresponding to a first character portion of a theme;
• a secondary robot comprising a second aesthetic corresponding to a second character portion of the theme;
• at least one sensor disposed on the primary robot, the secondary robot, or both, wherein the at least one sensor is configured to acquire feedback indicative of an environment surrounding the robotic system or a portion thereof;
• and
• a control system comprising one or more controllers, wherein the control system is configured to:
• control an automated physical coupling between the primary robot and the secondary robot;
• determine a first action of the robotic system from one or more character control schemes associated with the theme, based on the feedback, and based on the automated physical coupling;
• control the first action of the robotic system;
• determine a second action of the robotic system from the one or more character control schemes associated with the theme, based on the feedback, and based on a lack of the automated physical coupling, wherein the second action is different than the first action;
• and
• control the second action of the robotic system.

A robotic system, comprising:

• a first robot comprising a first aesthetic corresponding to a first part of a character;
• a second robot comprising a second aesthetic corresponding to a second part of the character;
• at least one sensor disposed on the first robot, the second robot, or both, wherein the at least one sensor is configured to acquire feedback indicative of an environment surrounding the robotic system or a portion thereof;
• and
• a control system comprising one or more controllers, wherein the control system is configured to:
• control an automated physical coupling between the first robot and the second robot;
• determine a first action of the robotic system from one or more character control schemes associated with the character, based on the feedback, and based on the automated physical coupling;
• control the first action of the robotic system;
• control an automated physical de-coupling between the first robot and the second robot;
• determine a second action of the robotic system from the one or more character control schemes associated with the character, based on the feedback, and based on the automated physical de-coupling, wherein the second action is different than the first action;
• and
• control the second action of the robotic system.
