Abstract
Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for providing a golf simulator comprising a computing system with real-life golf courses stored in memory, a projector, and a screen; projecting a simulation of a real-life golf hole stored in memory on the screen with the computing system to provide a simulated golf hole that simulates the real-life golf hole; and using one or more lights to indicate a location of the ball after a simulation of one or more golf shots.
Claims22
A system for a golf game, comprising:
- a first golf area for hitting a golf ball;
- a second golf area comprising a putting area;
- at least one sensor configured to sense movement of a hit golf ball for determining a position of the hit golf ball;
- a plurality of lights for illuminating the second golf area;
- and
- one or more computers and one or more storage devices on which are stored instructions that are operable, when executed by the one or more computers, to cause the one or more computers to perform operations comprising:
- determining a location that corresponds to the position of the hit golf ball on the second golf area based on sensor data from the at least one sensor;
- identifying one or more lights of the plurality of lights that are not occluded from the location on the second golf area;
- and
- activating the one or more lights that are not occluded from the location on the second golf area.
