Abstract
The present invention relates to composition for hair or fiber comprising an alkyl ketene compound. The composition according to the present invention includes an alkyl ketene compound capable of covalently bonding with a protein residue on a surface of hair or fibers, and the alkyl ketene compound can form a covalent bond with the hair or fiber to provide beneficial effects, such as long-lasting conditioning.
Claims9
A hair treatment composition comprising an alkyl ketene compound represented by Chemical Formula 1:
- in Chemical Formula 1,
- R1 and R2 are each independently 18-methyleicosanoic acid (18-MEA), and
- further comprising one or more surfactants selected from the group consisting of a cationic surfactant and an anionic surfactant, for improving a conditioning effect.
A method for manufacture of a hair treatment composition, which comprises:
- mixing an alkyl ketene compound represented by Chemical Formula 1:
- wherein in Chemical Formula 1,
- R1 and R2 are each independently 18-methyleicosanoic acid (18-MEA), and
- one or more surfactants selected from the group consisting of a cationic surfactant and an anionic surfactant, for improving a conditioning effect.
A method for improving hair, comprising:
- applying an effective amount of a hair treatment composition to hair, and
- applying a heat treatment,
- wherein the hair treatment composition comprises an alkyl ketene compound represented by Chemical Formula 1:
- in Chemical Formula 1,
- R1 and R2 are each independently 18-methyleicosanoic acid (18-MEA), and
- one or more surfactants selected from the group consisting of a cationic surfactant and an anionic surfactant, for improving a conditioning effect.
