Surfactant containing formulation of pseudo-ceramides

A surfactant containing formulation, comprising

• (a) ≥5% by weight of at least one surfactant, based on the total weight of the formulation;
• (b) at least one N-acyl-hydroxyamino acid ester of the general Formula (I)
• or an enantiomer thereof,
• wherein
• R1 is a linear, branched or cyclic alkyl or alkenyl group having 5 to 50 carbon atoms and optionally substituted by one or more hydroxyl group(s),
• R2 is a linear or branched alkyl or alkenyl group having 1 to 49 carbon atoms and optionally substituted by one or more hydroxyl group(s),
• Y1 and Y2 are independently of one another, hydrogen or a hydroxyl group,
• R3 and R4 are either independently of one another, hydrogen or a linear or branched alkyl or alkenyl group having 1 to 10 carbon atoms, or
• R3 and R4 together are an alkyl group having 1 to 3 carbon atoms or together with the chain between R3 and R4 form a 5- to 7-membered heterocyclic ring, wherein the alkyl group is optionally substituted by 1 to 3 linear or branched alkyl or alkenyl group(s) or is substituted by 1 to 3 hydroxyl group(s);
• and
• (c) optionally at least one cosmetically and/or pharmaceutically active substance and/or additive.
