Abstract
The present invention relates a dosing device, DOSDEV, for dosing solid particulate material into a receptacle, preferably into a capsule, the DOSDEV has a dosing element which has a tube shape which can be filled with the solid particulate material by sucking in the solid particulate material by means of a vacuum and wherein excess solid particulate material sticking to the entrance of the DOSDEV is blown off with gas.
Claims25
A dosing device (DOSDEV 2) for dosing solid particulate material (4-1) into a receptacle;
- the dosing device (DOSDEV 2) comprises a dosing element (1) which consists of an inner tube shaped extension (1-1) and an outer tube shaped extension (1-2), both extensions protrude downwards at a lower side of the dosing device (DOSDEV 2);
- the inner tube shaped extension (1-1) and the outer tube shaped extension (1-2) are coaxially aligned with respect to each other;
- the inner tube shaped extension (1-1) is located within the outer tube shaped extension (1-2);
- an outer diameter of the inner tube shaped extension (1-1) is smaller than an inner diameter of the outer tube shaped extension (1-2), whereby a space (SPACE 1-3) is formed between the outer tube shaped extension (1-2) and the inner tube shaped extension (1-1), the space (SPACE 1-3) extending circumferentially around the inner tube shaped extension (1-1);
- an inside of the inner tube shaped extension (1-1) forms a dosing chamber (1-4);
- an opening at a lower end of the inner tube shaped extension forms an opening (1-9) of the dosing chamber (1-4) at a lower end of the dosing chamber (1-4);
- a wall of the outer tube shaped extension (1-2) extends beyond a rim (1-7) of an end of a wall of the inner tube shaped extension (1-1) in an axial direction and has a bend (BEND 1-5) in an axial proximity of the end of the wall of the inner tube shaped extension (1-1), by the bend (BEND 1-5) the wall of the outer tube shaped extension (1-2) extends radially inwards at least partially around the end of the inner tube shaped extension (1-1);
- the outer tube shaped extension (1-2) ends with an opening whose diameter is smaller than the inner diameter of the outer tube shaped extension (1-2) axially before the bend (BEND 1-5);
- the space (SPACE 1-3) extends over an inner surface of the bend (BEND 1-5) and further onto a rim (1-6) of the end of the wall of the outer tube shaped extension (1-2), thereby radially inwards from the bend (BEND 1-5) the space (SPACE 1-3) ends in an opening slit (SLIT 1-8) between the end of the inner tube shaped extension (1-1) and the end of the outer tube shaped extension (1-2);
- the rim (1-6) of the end of the wall of the outer tube shaped extension (1-2) does not extend in a radial inward direction beyond an inner diameter of the end of the wall of the inner tube shaped extension (1-1);
- wherein after the bend (BEND 1-5) in the radially inward direction towards the end of the outer tube shaped extension (1-2), the wall of the outer tube shaped extension (1-2) ends with an angle (ANGLE) relative to the axial direction of the outer tube shaped extension (1-2);
- wherein the angle (ANGLE) is from 60 to 90°;
- and
- wherein the space (SPACE 1-3) is connected to a gas supply to selectively provide gas at a predetermined pressure to the slit (SLIT 1-8).
