Abstract
A support device may include a frame, a seat assembly and a lifting mechanism. The frame includes a base and an upright support. The seat assembly includes a seating surface and connecting means for operatively connecting the seating surface to the frame. The lifting mechanism is configured for vertically displacing the seat assembly between a lowered position and a seating position.

A support device comprising:
- a frame including a base and an upright support including two opposed vertical support structures;
- a seat assembly including a seating surface and connecting means for operatively connecting the seating surface to the frame;
- and
- a lifting mechanism for vertically displacing the seat assembly between a lowered position and a seating position the lifting mechanism including a battery, two electric motors receiving power from the battery, and two lead screws operatively coupled to the seat assembly, each of the two electric motors rotatably engaged to a respective one of the two lead screws, each of the two lead screws positioned within a respective one of the two vertical support structures and operatively connected to an end of the seat assembly.

- a frame including a base and an upright support including two opposed vertical support structures, each of the opposed vertical support structures including a front vertical support member and a rear vertical support member forming a triangular vertical support structure;
- a seat assembly including a seating surface and connecting means for operatively connecting the seating surface to the frame;

- a lifting mechanism for vertically displacing the seat assembly between a lowered position and a seating position, the lifting mechanism including a battery, two electric motors receiving power from the battery, and two lead screws operatively coupled to the seat assembly, each of the two electric motors rotatably engaged to a respective one of the two lead screws.
