Abstract
The present disclosure relates to a deployable assembly sleeve including a longitudinal body including a lumen, with the longitudinal body having a proximal end and a distal end; and at least one deployable assembly disposed upon the longitudinal body, the deployable assembly including a flexible and substantially rigid deployment member, and at least one sensor affixed to a distal end of the deployment member; and a control mechanism for controlling deployment in a distal direction and retraction in a proximal direction of the deployable assembly.
Claims17
A deployable assembly sleeve comprising:
- a longitudinal body including a lumen sized to receive an ablation probe, the longitudinal body having a proximal end and a distal end, at least one guide channel extending from the proximal end toward the distal end, and at least one deflection wedge at the distal end having an angled face;
- at least one deployable assembly disposed on the longitudinal body, the deployable assembly including:
- a flexible deployment member adapted to be advanced through tissue and with a trajectory determined by the angled face of the deflection wedge, and
- at least one sensor affixed to a distal end of the deployment member;
- and
- a handle including a control mechanism for controlling deployment of the deployable assembly in a distal direction and retraction in a proximal,
- wherein the guide channel and the deflection wedge guide the deployable assembly distally and radially outward as it is deployed, wherein the guide channel is disposed on a radially outward facing surface of the longitudinal body, and wherein the deflection wedge is mounted at a distal end region of the longitudinal body.
