Apparatus for producing a beverage, in particular coffee

An apparatus for producing a beverage comprising:

• a plurality of brewing cylinders in the form of a carousel, wherein the plurality of brewing cylinders are configured to be pivoted about an axis of rotation, wherein each brewing cylinder of the plurality of brewing cylinders has an extraction cell;
• at least two pistons positioned beneath the plurality of brewing cylinders, wherein the at least two pistons are configured to be pivoted about the axis of rotation;
• at least two feed channels positioned above the brewing cylinders and configured to load beverage powder into the brewing cylinders;
• and
• at least two extraction pistons positioned at a distance from the at least two feed channels,
• wherein, in a specific position of the plurality of brewing cylinders, the at least two feed channels are each positioned above respective brewing cylinders of the plurality of brewing cylinders, each piston of the at least two pistons is configured to be inserted into and moved out of the respective brewing cylinders of the plurality of brewing cylinders, and each extraction piston of the at least two extraction pistons are configured to be inserted into and moved out of brewing cylinders adjacent to the respective brewing cylinders.
