Token housing for fashion accessories

An apparatus comprising:

• at least one of a clothing item or a fashion accessory having an embedded housing interface, wherein the embedded housing interface includes:
• a token having an authentication identifier to track the authenticity of the token;
• a rim interface configured to receive the token in an aperture formed by the rim interface at a front side of the embedded housing interface, the rim interface being configured to selectively couple to a retaining fastener, and the rim interface configured to be at least partially covered by the retaining fastener in response to coupling the retaining fastener to the rim interface, the retaining fastener being configured to selectively couple to the rim interface, the retaining fastener having an opening through which the token is visible from the front side of the embedded housing interface in response to coupling the retaining fastener to the rim interface, the retaining fastener configured to sustain the token in the aperture formed by the rim interface in response to coupling the retaining fastener to the rim interface,
• wherein the token is removable from the aperture formed by the rim interface in response to decoupling the retaining fastener from the rim interface.
