Abstract
An aerosol generation device includes a power system and a controller. The power system includes a first energy storage module and a second energy storage module. The controller is configured to control a pulse width modulated power flow of the power system to a heater associated with the aerosol generation device. The pulse width modulated power flow includes one or more pulse width modulation cycles each having an on period and an off period. The controller is further configured to control the second energy storage module to charge the first energy storage module during the pulse width modulation cycle off period.
Claims15
An aerosol generation device comprising:
- a power system comprising a first energy storage module and a second energy storage module;
- and
- a controller, wherein the controller is configured to:
- control a pulse width modulated power flow of the power system to a heater associated with the aerosol generation device, wherein the pulse width modulated power flow comprises one or more pulse width modulation cycles each having an on period and an off period;
- and
- control the second energy storage module to charge the first energy storage module during the pulse width modulation cycle off period.
A method of controlling a power system of an aerosol generation device, the power system comprising a first energy storage module and a second energy module, and the method comprising:
- controlling a pulse width modulated power flow of the power system to a heater associated with the aerosol generation device, wherein the pulse width modulated power flow comprises one or more pulse width modulation cycles each having an on period and an off period;
- and
- controlling the second energy storage module to charge the first energy storage module during the pulse width modulation cycle off period.
A non-transitory computer-readable medium storing instructions that when executed by one or more processors of a controller configured for operation with an aerosol generation device power system comprising a first energy storage module and a second energy storage module, cause the one or more processors to control the power system by:
- controlling a pulse width modulated power flow of the power system to a heater associated with the aerosol generation device, wherein the pulse width modulated power flow comprises one or more pulse width modulation cycles each having an on period and an off period;
- and
- controlling the second energy storage module to charge the first energy storage module during the pulse width modulation cycle off period.
