Abstract
An extruder device for 3D printing a viscous material, such as a plant-based foodstuff material, where the extruder device includes two compression screws, which are arranged within a common compartment, and the common compartment includes a nozzle for each compression screw, a feeding section (FS) for feeding the viscous material to the two compression screws and a compression section (CS) located between the feeding section and the nozzles for compressing the viscous material.
Claims15
An extruder device for 3D printing a viscous material, wherein the extruder device comprises:
- two compression screws, which are arranged within a common compartment,
- wherein the common compartment comprises a nozzle for each compression screw, a feeding section (FS) for feeding the viscous material to the at least two compression screws, and a compression section (CS), located between the feeding section (FS) and the nozzles, that is configured to compress the viscous material, and
- wherein screw windings of the compression screws extend at least partially into the feeding section (FS), and wherein the feeding section (FS) is common to all compression screws.
