Method of manufacturing light emitting device

A method of manufacturing a light emitting device comprising:

• providing a light emitting element having an upper surface and a plurality of side surfaces each including an upper edge connected to the upper surface;
• applying an adhesive resin onto the upper surface and the plurality of side surfaces of the light emitting element such that a first lowermost edge of the adhesive resin at a corner where adjacent ones of the side surfaces of the light emitting element meet is positioned lower than a second lowermost edge of the adhesive resin adjacent to a center of the upper edge of each of the side surfaces of the light emitting element;
• disposing a light transmissive member over the upper surface of the light emitting element with the adhesive resin being interposed between the light transmissive member and the upper surface of the light emitting element, and pressing the adhesive resin with the light transmissive member;
• and
• curing the adhesive resin.
