Abstract
A light emitting device and a light emitting apparatus including the same are disclosed. The light emitting apparatus includes a light emitting device and a circuit substrate on which the light emitting device is mounted. The light emitting device includes a first conductivity type semiconductor layer, an active layer disposed on the first conductivity type semiconductor layer, and a second conductivity type semiconductor layer disposed on the active layer, wherein the active layer includes a plurality of sub-active layers having different energy bandgaps.
Claims20
A light emitting apparatus comprising:
- a light emitting device and a circuit substrate on which the light emitting device is mounted,
- wherein the light emitting device comprises a first conductivity type semiconductor layer, an active layer disposed on the first conductivity type semiconductor layer, and a second conductivity type semiconductor layer disposed on the active layer,
- the active layer comprising a plurality of sub-active layers having different energy bandgaps, wherein the plurality of sub-active layers are sequentially disposed from up to down and have gradually increasing energy bandgaps with decreasing distance to a light emission surface.
A light emitting device comprising:
- an n-type semiconductor layer,
- an active layer disposed on the n-type semiconductor layer, and
- a p-type semiconductor layer disposed on the active layer,
- wherein the active layer comprises a plurality of sub-active layers having different energy bandgaps and a tunnel barrier layer between adjacent sub-active layers, wherein the plurality of sub-active layers are sequentially disposed from up to down and have gradually increasing energy bandgaps with decreasing distance to a light emission surface.
