Abstract
Disclosed are a method and a device for saving power in a communication system supporting multiple links. An operation method of a first station (STA) affiliated with a first device comprises: transmitting, to a first access point (AP) affiliated with a second device, a first frame which requests configuration of one or more target wake time (TWT) service periods (SPs) for multiple links including a first link and a second link being in a non-simultaneous transmit and receive (NSTR) relationship; and receiving, from the first AP, a second frame including configuration information of the one or more TWT SPs, wherein the one or more TWT SPs in the first link and the one or more TWT SPs in the second link are identically configured.
Claims9
A method for operating a device including a first station (STA) and a second STA and supporting multi-links, the method comprising:
- performing, by the first STA affiliated with the device, a negotiation procedure for a restricted target wake time (R-TWT) service period (SP) on a first link of a non-simultaneous transmit and receive (NSTR) link pair;
- obtaining, by the second STA affiliated with the device, transmission opportunity (TXOP) in a second link of the NSTR link pair;
- performing, by the second STA affiliated with the device, first communication on the second link;
- and
- terminating, by the second STA affiliated with the device, the first communication, before a start of the R-TWT SP on the first link,
- wherein an interval between an end time of the first communication and a start time of the R-TWT SP is 0.
A device including a first station (STA) and a second STA and supporting multi-links, the device comprising:
- a processor configured to cause the first STA and the second STA to:
- perform, by the first STA affiliated with the device, a negotiation procedure for a restricted target wake time (R-TWT) service period (SP) on a first link of a non-simultaneous transmit and receive (NSTR) link pair;
- obtain, by the second STA affiliated with the device, transmission opportunity (TXOP) in a second link of the NSTR link pair;
- perform, by the second STA affiliated with the device, first communication on the second link;
- and
- terminate, by the second STA affiliated with the device, the first communication, before a start of the R-TWT SP on the first link,
- wherein an interval between an end time of the first communication and a start time of the R-TWT SP is 0.
